Becoming consumed was easy.

Before, I could answer with certainty. But now, there’s a darkness that has settled

deep in my soul, fusing with my heart and altering my reality forever.

The road I’ve traveled has been paved with danger, death, and deception.

Roxanne grew up as part of the MC, a victim of her birth. Her life has been

treacherous, setting her on a course of torment and destruction.

The Resurrection of Hannah by Kathryne Arnold blog tour

“The Resurrection of Hannah is the story of a woman whose path is forever altered, her first tentative step leading to an astonishing life journey. As the story develops, Samantha is torn between the polarities of everyday existence ―between present and past, love and fear, hope and despair—finding herself unable to exist in two very different worlds, she must go full circle to find her way home. The Resurrection of Hannah was inspired by true events, the first in what I believe is a unique series full of gripping plots, memorable characters and unanticipated bends in the road. The sequel to this book,” – Kathryne Arnold, author

Samantha Clark meets with a monthly group to delve into subjects of interest. They dabble in
meditation, dream work, and hypnosis — just friends having fun. But lately Sammi is feeling off-kilter and plagued with poor sleep. Searching for a natural solution, she discovers a bitter herb known to induce slumber, whips up a concoction to sweeten the herb, and imbibes. Unbeknownst to her, these areas of experimentation are whirling together to form the perfect storm, one that will blow open an entrance in Sammi’s mind that leads to another world, a door that can never again be

She becomes enmeshed with two friends in a tug of war between life and death: Melissa is dealing with a complicated pregnancy and Julie is wrestling with cancer. Adding to this turmoil is Sammi’s disconnect with her career as a psychotherapist; her life doesn’t seem to fit any longer. Into the drama walks Todd, a handsome, laid-back guy who lightens up her days. Trouble is, Sammi is having a hard time getting close, and a nagging sense of doubt and fear. Like so many times in the past …

But the topper to all this is the dreams. They begin innocuously…but quickly morph into mind-blowing spiritual adventures. The crazy nocturnal activity appears to be related to a soulful character trying to make himself known. In a quest to uncover the truth, Sammi researches clues discovered during her nighttime romps. What she finds is another facet of herself…all wrapped up in post-colonial 18th-century clothes.
Sammi flies off to New England, and with the aid of the Rev. Clark, her skeptical father, she embarks on an adventure, revealing a tragic, centuries-old mystery. One only Sammi can solve.

Here is what I think of this book.

This book is so compelling. What a beautiful story too. I know that our dreams that we are dreaming are there for a reason. This book is one of them. It also teaches us history can repeat itself. I really love the The Resurrection Of Hannah by Ms. Kathryne Arnold. I am privileged that I got my own signed copy of this beautiful book and true story. What an amazing book to read. I have goosebumps all over when I read it. I hope to read another book like this. I highly recommend this book to everybody.

“The Fear of Things to Come, is considered a page-turner, a suspense/thriller/mystery that takes the protagonist on another grand adventure. Both novels present Samantha as she is confronted with diverse and surprising life occurrences, each tale presenting a labyrinth she must feel her way through, mirroring the shifting sands on which she stands. Samantha is an engaging lead character, full of human imperfection and spirit and strength, one whose infectious energy binds to the loved ones caught up in a her ever-changing life stories.” – Kathryne Arnold, author

The DSM. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. A voluminous, invaluable tool used by psychotherapists the world over to diagnose individuals with mental illness. Referenced by Samantha Clark countless times throughout her career, never suspecting that one day it would save her life.
Samantha receives a seemingly innocent but anonymous letter, and overnight her world changes forever. She becomes a victim in a frightening game of cat-and-mouse, a nightmare that begins when her boyfriend, Todd, fails to return to the wellness retreat they own in the woods of Florida. Working closely with police, Samantha and two trusted friends discover that Todd’s disappearance is linked to a series of murders occurring in a nearby county. They soon find themselves prey to a mentally ill patient from Samantha’s past, bent on revenge. With time bearing down, they must weave together the clues found in a succession of ominous letters and the DSM to save Todd. Their mission to unravel the mystery behind the kidnapping plunges them into a terrifying maze of danger, deception, and madness.

“An excellent psychological thriller written in a simplistic language and a plot that is well thought out and easy to follow.” – Beck Valley Books”“Well-written convoluted plot that stirs the heartbeat and sends chills down the spine.” – review from Amazon

About the Author

I was raised in the northeastern United States, in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, and resided in a half-dozen homes or towns throughout my growing up years. My father was a reverend with a flourishing career, moving the family to various parishes as his calling dictated, which I view in a positive light as I was exposed to different communities and lifestyles. After graduating from high school at the age of seventeen, I moved with my father to Massachusetts.Thrilled to begin college in New England, I jumped in with both feet and managed to excel in biological and psychological studies upon which I secured my very first “real” job as a Senior Psychiatric Counselor at a group home for adults with mental illness. Wanting to further my learning, I attended Suffolk University in Beacon Hill in Boston, and graduated two years later, obtaining a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Relations.   Over the next twenty years I concentrated further on my work in counseling and social services and became a licensed practitioner.Several years ago, due to a deep longing to express my feelings in an alternative manner, I literally sat down one day and began writing my first novel. The resultant book, The Resurrection of Hannah, had been born out of a series of powerful dreams, along with compelling and coexisting experiences that inspired me to create a story that would capture the strength of my emotions. I had a yearning to shape a tale based around individuals in my life that I believed would make engaging characters. I had a strong desire to experience a higher level of creativity, to literally produce something out of nothing- a fascinating and challenging endeavor I could not ignore. It was during this time that I became a clinical hypnotherapist and a nationally certified counselor, as well as starting a private practice as a psychotherapist.   I also decided to move back to friends and family in Florida and worked again at the local Hospice, then more recently in community mental health. Once bitten by the writing bug, I could not help but pen my second work of fiction, The Fear of Things to Come. I am now in the process of writing another novel in what I consider a unique collection of adventure stories, the third in the Samantha Clark Mystery Series.

Unforgettable Book Boyfriends by Rachelle Ayala

“What makes an unforgettable lover?” by Rachelle Ayala

How many book boyfriends do you have? Be honest now: two, five, ten, more than twenty? Ha, ha, I

have to admit I love them all. But instead of me telling you about my book boyfriends, I’m going to let

the heroines tell you in their own words.

First up is Jessica Song from Playing the Rookie: A #Played Novella. Here’s what she says about Jay Pak Ahn.

Sexy eyes, confidence, and daring. I love a man who knows what he wants and doesn’t hesitate to

get it. He wants me, tells me, and then shows me. Oh boy, does he show me, over and over and over

Excerpt from Playing the Rookie

“I’m the man to help you figure it all out. Let’s get comfortable.”

Why does my body instantly ignite at the thought of getting horizontal with Jay? I lick the drool from my

lips and finish the rest of my drink. The stout hearty taste of the dark beer mixed with the crisp bite of

apples reaches into my dark heart, stirring it with a flood of desires—fantasies I dare not admit even to

Jay raises the volume of the stereo. A bluesy jazz song plays. Enfolding me into his arms, he swings

me around the room, his busy hands caressing me, skillfully arousing every inch of my hot, horny

But tonight it’s more than that. There’s a gentleness about him, loving, taking his time. His fingers stroke

and pet me, deep, warm caresses, nothing harsh or groping. And when his lips take mine he moves

languidly, flowing with the music, a steady, sweet rhythm. We drift to the edge of the bed and float onto

it like falling leaves. His lips, tongue, and fingers leave nothing untouched, undressing me as if I were

made of delicate flower petals.

hero Jaden Sloup.

He may seem like a geek, but under the covers, watch out! They always say a goalie has good hands, but

Jaden, he’s good everywhere!

Excerpt from Played by Love

Jaden kissed her forehead, caressing the back of her neck and shoulders, felt the tension in her

spine. Gently, he placed her head on the bath pillow and wiped the water from her face with his

Taking a long match, he lit the candles stuck on ornate candleholders around the bathroom as well as

the ones floating in bowls on the wide surround.

She was more beautiful under the lambent lighting, exquisite as fine porcelain. Her blue eyes shone like

deep ocean waters, and a pink flush brushed her skin with color.

He spread liquid soap over a washcloth and slid it lovingly around her neck, over her shoulders, easing

the tension. Taking her hand, he kissed each finger and rubbed her palm against his face. He smoothed

the washcloth around her forearms, working his way past her elbows.

She sucked in a sizzling breath when he grazed the side of her breast and he froze, worried he’d

triggered a bad memory. But she placed her hand on his and guided the cloth up to her chest.

Emboldened, he played the washcloth around the globes of her breasts and teased her nipples, pretty as

pink rose petals. He couldn’t help kissing them when she arched her back, lifting them above the surface

of the water.

“That feels so good,” she moaned, her fingers tickling the back of his neck.

Evie Sánchez has some choice words to say about her Romeo from Taming Romeo

Romeo’s arrogant. He knows he’s good, and then some. Who else can shake me to the boots and melt

me with a kiss? Sometimes I’m so frustrated I want to bonk him on the head, but then he gets me in

the shower, the hot tub, and on his bike. Did I mention his bike and the motor between his legs? Yow!

Excerpt from Taming

He lays his head on one of the king size pillows and cradles it, his eyes intent, but calm.

“What do you intend to do?” I crawl to his side, my dress shielding my breasts.

A grin slowly stretches his face. “I’m going to show you what you’re going to miss for the rest of your

comfortable life. I’m going to completely and utterly ruin you for Eric and any other man who thinks

he’s going to fulfill your dreams. Say the word, Evie, and I’ll make you forget how you can possibly exist

without me.”

“Arrogant, aren’t you? And what if I tell you to walk?”

He flexes his arms and puts his hands behind his head, looking up at the ceiling. “I think you already

know what you’ll be walking away from.”

And who can forget panty-melting Zach Spencer from Knowing Vera?

From Shirtless Daily

Vera certainly can’t, and neither can I. Here are her thoughts on him.

Zach was never really a bad boy. Sure, girls love him and he’s like honey to a bee. And he’s got

that deadly smile and the deep blue eyes. Zach’s a survivor. What I most admire about him is his

determination. Even losing a leg doesn’t keep Zach from being a hero. My hero.

Excerpt from Knowing Vera

Heat flashes through my chest and swirls through my abdomen. His scent, spicy and smoky, lights a

raging fire between my legs. Every nerve on my body aches that sweet, languorous ache, the primitive,

gut-level need of a woman for her man. Mine, because everything he does shows me he loves me; and

everything I am belongs only to him.

We roll on the soft sand and I’m on top of him when we come up for air. The moon reflects in his deep

blue eyes, and we’re both breathing hard. This. Time. Is. Different. Not lust, but more—much, much

His expression is so intense it burns me, piercing through my heart. He’s just as afraid as I am. I have to

show him how precious he is, how willing I am to risk everything for him.

“Zach.” I press my hands on his firm chest. “I am devoted to you. I want to be the one.”

“You already are.”

And finally, everyone’s favorite barista and bad boy do-gooder, Dylan Jewell from Whole Latte Love

Carina? Please say a few words.

He’s changed my life. I’ve never met a guy with a bigger heart. He even took care of his ex-girlfriend’s

tarantula and bearded dragon. He’s always picking up strays and I’m so glad he picked me up. Dylan and

love just go together.

Excerpt from Whole

Latte Love

“I don’t scare easily.” Carina marched toward her old room where she’d left her work clothes. She made

a show of yawning.

Dylan framed himself at her door. “Don’t close your eyes, because I’m going for the shower if you

He snugged his shirt over his shoulders and threw it across the room. Palming the back of his head, he

tightened his abdominal muscles and rolled his hips.

Carina covered her mouth and backed into her bed, her eyes glued to the bulge below his waist.

“Like what you see?” He rubbed his chest and sides while prowling toward her. His focus intent on his

prey, he slipped one finger under his waistband. “Let’s see how brave you really are. Shall I drop the

Captive blog tour by Samantha Jacobey

Captive A New Life Novel
By Samantha Jacobey
Hosted By Ashley’s Addictive Book Promotions
Captive – A New Life Novel… To what lengths would you go to break away
from a life filled with pain and suffering?
Tori Farrell has lived a
dangerous life. When you grow up with a Motorcycle Gang of Mercenaries and Drug
Lords like the Dragons, a normal life is more like a fairy tale. For years, she
accepted her dark reality, a world consisting of drugs, sex, violence and
murder. In the end, she learned the most valuable lesson: survival.
After years of being
ruled by the Dragons, Tori uses her skills of seduction and assassination to
free herself from the grasp of the people who vowed they would never let her
go. Taken in by the FBI, she fears not everything is what it seems, and soon
finds herself lost in a web of lies and deceit. She thought getting away from
the Dragons would put her on a path to a new and better life, but now she must
face the cold hard truth… there is always a price to be paid.

EXCERPT 1 from CAPTIVE by Samantha Jacobey

Tori was sitting in one of the padded chairs, knees curled to her chest and arms wrapped, when Eli Founder arrived the next morning. She had been sitting for some time, watching the sunrise bring light to the lush green outside her small window.
The Dragons slept and lived outdoors routinely, and she was beginning to feel penned up being indoors for so many days now. “How was the bed?” Eli asked as he took the seat opposite of her. A blank stare was her only response, so he mumbled a simple “Well, you’ll get there,” and let the subject drop.
Tori lay her left cheek on her knees, watching out into the patio for several minutes. Finally, in a low voice, she inquired, “Why am I here?”
Eli shifted in his seat, wanting to be precise with his words. “You’re here for evaluation, and to heal.” He drew a deep breath to continue, catching himself before he spoke, and then exhaled slowly in silence.
Tori’s head popped up, and she asked again in a more forceful tone, “No, I mean why am Ihere.” She added emphasis to the word ‘here’ by reaching out with her right hand to stab the table with her index finger.
At his surprised look, she continued with the irritation clear in her voice, “I told you the knife was mine. I told you the Dragons got what they deserved. I did it. I killed them. Why am I not in a prison or a cell or something?”
Tori’s story begins with CAPTIVE
Box Set Link
Anyone who knows me could tell you, I am a friendly kind of person, never met a stranger and take up conversations any where at any time. I work hard, and my mind never seems to shut down, as I wake up often in the middle of the night with ideas pouring out and demanding to be dealt with. Of course that means much of my books were written in the middle of the night.
I grew up and still live in the great state of Texas where everything is bigger, where we have warm weather and a central location. I love my state, my town, and my family, which includes my four sons, my significant other, and many friends as well.
I have thoroughly enjoyed writing the books that are currently available and hope you will enjoy reading them just as much. And of course, there will be many more stories to come.
would like to start off by saying thank you to all of the tour host who have participated
in the Captive Blog Tour. Here is a interview done by Samantha Jacobey. Enjoy!
did you first consider yourself a writer?
I still am not really what I would call a writer… I am
a story teller. I love to share exciting adventures that have meaning and
depth, and hope that my readers enjoy them. In a way, I thought that once I had
put them in writing, I would be able to let go, and move on to something else,
but that is not so. I still find myself dreaming about this girl and going over
parts of her story over and over.
inspired you to write your first book?
I have had this story in my head for about 25 years. It
has undergone many changes and versions, and I love to experiment with ‘what
if’ and ‘now what?’ The entire story is far larger than what is being
published, with many disconnected pieces; who knows if any of them will ever
find their way into print. The part that I am sharing is the section that is
the foundation, and completes a segment – Tori’s segment. I ‘wrote it’ and put
it out there because I felt like it was time to share.
you have a specific writing style?
I think that I do. I try to use language that is easy
for most readers to understand, with a few 50-cent words thrown in. I also like
to keep it fresh, and try not to repeat words or phrases too often, unless it
serves a purpose, which means if I am retelling something, readers should be
watching for what is different from one telling to the next. Finally, I think
there needs to be a fair amount of description in the story, so my characters
are grounded and not floating in space, but at the same time it is not overly
so, where you get bogged down in the setting and lose interest in the action of
the story.
did you come up with the title?
My series is called A New Life – and that is exactly
what is happening in the story. My heroine, Tori Farrell, has lived a very sad
and unusual life, but that is only the beginning. The entire series is about
her journey to get a ‘new’ one; a normal one more or less. The book titles have
changed from my originals, which I still love, but from a marketing standpoint,
they do work much better. Each title, old and new, representing what that
segment is about, so it’s like the ‘theme’ of the book in a single word…
do you want your readers to get out of your novels?
My series is like that proverbial onion people always
talk about… lots of layers. On the surface, you have the drama and what
happened to our girl, and what actions she takes along the way. Beneath that,
you get into the how and the why of things; what motivates the characters. At
the deepest level, you have the human condition and what makes people who and
what they are at their foundation. Not everyone will see all of these things,
and I am ok with that. For those that do, this is a very rich experience, and
it will move you to the core – that’s what I would like for people to get out
of it, if they are ready for it.
the book mostly fantasy or do you think these situations could actually happen?
On some level, this is most definitely a realistic
scenario, and although all of the pieces coming together in this fashion would
be a stretch, each component most definitely can, does, and has happened. That
being said, I made the entire thing up – there are slivers of truth woven
throughout – ideas or stories that I heard about and stripped down to use some
portion of, but the work as a whole is pure fantasy.
book are you reading now?
Right now I am reading the Sage Seed Chronicles, by
Holly Barbo. This is a sci-fi series, and is very imaginative; I love them. She
builds an entire world, and quite believable at that.
are your current projects?
The New Life Series is completed, and only waiting for
release. Beyond that, I am researching and doing preliminary writing for my
dystopian thriller that will be next.
you see writing as a career?
I agreed to teach one more year, so my plate is pretty
full once again, with outside commitments. After this year, I will be able to
dig in more fully and really throw myself into writing full time. I want it to
be my career, but it won’t be my only one for a few more months at least.
designed the covers?
The covers are all designed by Nicolene
Lorette Designs, and I love her work. Books 1 and 2 were published before, and
the covers they have now are far and away more attractive.
you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?
Thank you. Thank you for your time and support, and for
sharing my work with your friends and family – it is very greatly
comes first? The character’s story, or, the idea for the novel?
I would have to say, the character came first, and I
built her story around her. At least, that’s how A New Life came about. I am
not sure on this next one if that is the case, as I have the idea for a
situation, and am playing with who all I would find in that world. I have
narrowed down a few characters, and am now exploring who they are and what they
are about in the context of the story as it unfolds.

Table cloth for my center table

When I am alone at home gets me bored. And when I am bored I prefer to clean my room or doing things facing my computer to keep me occupied. I was browsing in the internet looking for stuffs at home like curtain, kitchenware, beddings, table cloth and more. While I am browsing I noticed that the table cloth I have on my center table is a bit old. I thought of buying a new one. Good thing I saw this burlap-tablecloth.com site. Their table cloth is the one I like, simple and elegant.
