An amazing eye view for any Olympians enthusiasts

Though I do not play any sports, I always love to watch Olympics on the TV. There is something special about each athlete who plays in the olympics. I am sure that each athlete goal is to win a medal either gold, silver or bronze. I am sure that parents wants their kids to be Olympian as well.

Reading Riding by author Cassia Cassitas is a book that will give you an amazing eye view for any Olympians enthusiasts. This book not only inspires any kids but also learn history and places that most of us dream to delete in our bucket list. I love how Andre conquered his health issues into being a successful athlete. I also admire how his parents Mario and Elizabeth did their best for their son to have the best in life to offer.

This is a very sweet book to read if you love sports like me. It has amazing parental advises for parents not only has normal kids but especially with disability. I can see myself with Elizabeth. Though my son has disability in different way, we still love them and never give up on them and encourage them to love sports that they love.

Riding is a very inspirational book that I hope everyone will get a copy. This book is hard to put it down. I highly recommend it to everybody and be inspired especially if you have kids that has disability but willing to prove to the world the capabilities of them to shine in their own way.

Author’s Bio:

 photo unnamed_zpsjfnkdn1n.jpg

In my mind, words came in strides. They aligned themselves in arguments that were ready for combat after rebelling themselves – and that was just inkling. Where was my certainty to support the new image? And where were my emotions, with their brushes to bring color to life?”

Born in the interior of the state of Paraná, Cassia Cassitas accumulated various degrees throughout her career in Information Technology. The author of three novels, her texts convey ideas accumulated amidst the smell of coffee plantations, shoe factories, and the technology of the 20th century. These texts deal with life-altering episodes, in a path lit by a harmonious blend of memories and imagination.

1- Tell us what the book is about.

Riding is about the human love potential for overcoming frontiers.

2- What led up to this book?

I had always wanted to be an athlete but had never really tried. I finally had the opportunity to learn more about cycling when André, my fictional character, was born with special needs. The more I thought about this sport – the special place it plays in Curitiba as well as in globalized culture, the beauty, the power of it – the more I thought the idea could become his partner in this adventure.

3- Where do you get inspiration for your stories?

Reading the news, questions that I just have to answer come up. Then I start looking into these topics, and the story blooms. I don’t want to write about dark subjects, I choose to make books that offer hope. Things can, initially, not be easy. But with a certain sense of humor and hope we can build a refreshingly optimistic ending for each simple situation we face.

4- What is your writing schedule?

At the start of a novel, I write in the morning and research during the afternoon. When the book starts to shape up, the journey begins at dawn and keeps on stretching. In the end, I am writing for more than ten hours a day.

5- What is your next project?

It will be a bilingual book of philosophy for young people.

6- If there is one thing you want readers to remember about you, what would it be?

Honestly, I want readers to remember my characters and recognize André’s, Elizabeth’s, Mario’s, and the like throughout their own lives. There is much to be gained from their trajectories. Above all, I want my characters to have an impact in the lives of my readers.

When Dreams Touch Book by Rosemary Hanrahan

when dreams touch badge

Caught between the 1980’s HIV/AIDS global pandemic and the devastating January 2010 earthquake in Haiti, three women strive to realize their dreams.

Pregnant and uneducated, 16-year-old Adelaide trades her dream of escaping the grinding poverty of her rural village for hopes of a better life for her unborn child. Kate, a young American physician, often finds her roles as mother and wife to be in conflict with her childhood dream to practice medicine in a third-world country. Giselle, a university-educated artist, lives in Port-au-Prince. While she sympathizes with the plight of her fellow Haitians, she envisions her and her family’s future as a comfortable life in the United States.

When the violent 1991 coup d’état erupts in Haiti, these three women’s lives intersect and are forever changed. Despite different cultures and life circumstances, the women share a vision of a better future for their children and the troubled country of Haiti. Their personal stories of adversity, tragedy and triumph are embedded in the complex social, political and cultural climate that evolves when international assistance programs influence individuals and communities in the developing world. Often in startling contrast, the women portrayed in When Dreams Touch are united through mutual understanding and respect. With courage and perseverance, they confront the broader injustices of the world they live in and create a legacy of enduring hope.

“When Dreams Touch” was awarded: the 2015 Eric Hoffer First Horizon Award for superior work by a debut author, the 2015 Eric Hoffer Award for e-book fiction, the 2015 National Indie Excellence Award for regional fiction and the 2015 IBPA Benjamin Franklin Silver Award for historical fiction. The book was also selected as a Historical Finalist, as a First Novel Finalist, and as a General Fiction Finalist in the 2015 IAN Book of the Year Awards and featured in The US Review.

All proceeds from sales of When Dreams Touch go to health and education programs in Haiti.

I am speechless with this book

I seldom cry when I read a book. It is hard for me to cry except this book When Dreams Touch by Rosemary Hanrahan. Growing up poor is not fun during my childhood especially with school projects and sometimes nothing to eat. The kids in this book is worst than what I experienced. My heart is ripped apart several times while reading. I am speechless with this book. It is beyond amazing. The story will touch your heart, inspires you and grateful of what you have in your life now.

My hats off to Kate who sacrifices her life and her family just to help people in Haiti to have a better health. She is one hero and I am sure that many people like her until now are helping the people in Haiti. God bless their hearts and their sacrifices to humanity. This book is hard to put it down once you started reading it. I LOVED how the author write this story. No wonder she won several awards.

When Dreams Touch is a book that will inspire people to be thankful of what they have. It inspires you to spread your hearts with other poor countries. There are many ways to help not only by donating but spreading the words to our kids as well. Teach them the stories of this kids from Haiti and how to survive everyday just to live.

This book focuses not only with health but also family and humanitarian. I admire Kate in every way. She even adopted and fight Tiena to have a better life away from all the suffering in Haiti while she is growing up. My hats off also to family who adopt kids from Haiti. God bless their generous hearts. When Dreams Touch is a book not to miss to read and open your hearts to humanity. One of the best book I read this month.

In October, Rosemary will travel to Haiti, as a volunteer, with PA PS Team International, H3 Missions and Rotary international District 5330 to conduct cervical cancer screening and treatment for over 2000 Haitian women. Fifteen local Haitian doctors and nurses will also be trained so they can continue this critical screening effort.

As depicted with Adelaide’s story in When Dreams Touch, Haiti has one of the highest cervical cancer rates in the world and treatment is extremely limited. The average Haitian woman who dies of cervical cancer leaves behind five and eight orphaned children.

Your donation of $20 U.S. will cover the cost of a PAP smear and, if necessary, life-saving treatment for cervical cancer for one woman in Haiti.

What happens when the man you’re married to isn’t the man you married anymore? Clove Calloway knows within an hour of picking up her husband Turner from the airport that something is different. Yet she can’t pin point what. Together since College, they know everything about each other. So why has she spent the last few days watching everything he does, hoping for a clue? What could have happened within that week he was gone?
One way or another she’s going to find out.
When Clove invests in the help of her brother Zack, a police detective, she’s afraid her suspicions of infidelity will be confirmed. Terrified that such news will crush her heart, she sets about preparing for the worst.
Only to find it’s much more than she could have imagined—there is no other woman.
Clove’s life is about to descend into a web of deceit, lies and betrayal.
Appearances can be deceiving… and only the Master Manipulator will be left standing.
“The eyes only see what the mind is prepared to comprehend.” – Henri Bergson
Clove Calloway thought she ended her nightmare life when she stabbed herself.
When the darkness took over, she thought she’d find peace. Seeing her husband die by the hands of his traitorous brother, Trent, destroyed her. Little did she know, her dreadful life without Turner is just the beginning. She awakens from one nightmare right into another, confined in a house with the Master Manipulator of them all.
Now, she’s fighting for her life instead of trying to end it. As the truth unfolds, layer upon layer of deceit could suffocate her. How many times and in how many way can she be betrayed? But Clove refuses to lose. Just how she’s going to win is a plan she’s yet to determine…
Zack is determined to find his sister Clove, he knows she is out there somewhere. He can feel it. He wants her home. And he is going to find her! He’s ready to take down the evil that has her in his clutches. Only he’s just as shocked as Clove when the truth unfolds…
There’s more…. So much more. Are you ready?

 photo unnamed 3_zpsqkhbyprr.jpg

I look at the clock and realize I still have an hour left. Turner is on a conference call, therefore I can’t ask him if he wants to skip out a little early and get to the bar for happy hour. Reaching for my phone, I decide to kick back and relax and maybe download some new songs. I plug in my phone to keep it charged and start listening to some music as I browse through the new selections.
I jump, catching sight of Zack out of my peripheral vision.
“Christ, you scared the shit out of me!”
I sit back in my chair with a smile on my face, placing my hand over my heart as I slump back in my seat. I laugh, finding the situation funny. Pulling my ear buds out, I watch my brother as he strolls in and sits across from me at my desk. But he’s not laughing or smiling.
“There’s something wrong,” I say in a strangled voice.
“Yeah, there is.”
“Is . . .?”
I start crying and can’t seem to get any words to come out. My chest starts heaving and I hold onto the edge of my desk, my knuckles snow white from my tight grip.
“Is he cheating on me?”
“It’s worse. Much worse.”
The way he looks at me tells me whatever his news is, it’s going to rip me to shreds.
“Wha-what is it?” I can barely choke the words out.

Complicate Me
Best Selling Author M. ROBINSON
Cover Design: Rebecca Marie at The Final Wrap
It was complicated, it was
also just the beginning.
A decision.
A simple choice.
There is always that one
moment in life where things could have been different. That one moment where
you could have chosen a path that would lead you down a certain road.
A different life.
It was easier to pretend that
we were still best friends, and that she was my girl and I was her boy.
Pretending was better than
knowing the truth…
I. Ruined. Us.
I had her.
I lost her.
I love her.
All I did was complicate us.
Buy Links
My brown eyed girl sat on our blankets with her arms wrapped around her knees, hiding her face. The tiny frame that I adored so much shook uncontrollably, only heightening the deepest sobbing that escalated with each passing second. It was such an intimate moment, not to be shared with anyone, especially me. Alex didn’t cry. I watched her bawl for the first time in my life. I had never seen anyone cry like that before, and it shook me to my core, slicing me whole, and making me feel like I
was dying. Carving a memory that I would take to my grave.  There was no going back…
No erasing.
No do overs.
No deleting.
What I witnessed tonight would be my purgatory; I would now close my eyes and forever see her falling apart in front of me. Shattering before my very own eyes and I found it hard to breathe.
Hard to move.
My feet were glued to the goddamn floor as she continued to weep, sob, bawl, violently sucking in air that wasn’t available. I accepted it all; each tear that fell from her face becoming pieces of me. Circulating through my veins and blood, it flowed
endlessly, a river of her sadness and sorrow and of my broken promises. No
beginning or ending to her cries, just an infinite current, flooding the hole
where my heart should be. The shadow of her trembling petite body reflected off
the walls, leaving a trail of regrets in its wake.
Growing up in a small town you overheard a lot of things. People talking, stories told, town gossip. You listened a lot. You learned a lot. Tourists, townies, friends, and especially family all shared wisdom and advice that you think you will never need.
Bunch of bullshit. They say you have that one moment in life where
things could have been different, that one moment that changes the course of
your life or the direction you could have taken. That one moment that could
forever change you and everything you wanted to be true, everything you wanted
to believe.
One simple decision could alter your entire future.
My entire world.
I would forever remember this moment for the rest of my life. This is the moment that changed everything. This is the moment where I took another direction, another road that led me to my own demise. My own regrets.  I should have walked in
there. I should have apologized. I should have begged for her forgiveness. I
should have promised that I would never hurt her again. I should have done
whatever it took to make her look at me the way she had our entire lives.
But I didn’t…
I did none of those things…
Not one.
Nothing was said between us.
No words.
No actions.
I was a coward and couldn’t do it. I couldn’t see her like that. I couldn’t look into her eyes and know that I had hurt her. That I had disappointed her. That I ruined her love and lost her respect for me. The boy who promised he would never hurt her.
The boy who swore he would always protect her.
The boy who vowed he would never let anything happen to her.
That same boy was me.
I was the reason she was bawling.
I was the reason she was hurt.
I was the reason she was broken.
She knew the truth. It had finally caught up to me… I shattered her illusion that I was hers. I ruined the one good thing I had in my life. The girl that owned my heart was bleeding out for me in a way that I had never seen before. The house was no longer our safe place.
I had brought my hurricane with me…
I couldn’t risk the possibility of losing her permanently if I walked in there and admitted my truths. She wouldn’t love me anymore, she wouldn’t look at me the same anymore, and she wouldn’t be mine anymore.
My brown eyed girl.
The girl that I had loved all of my life.
The same girl that I would
love for the rest of my life.
I gave her the only comfort I could in her moment of despair. I turned around and left. I walked down the stairs and got into my truck. I turned the engine on and drove my sorry ass home. I took a shower and never once looked at myself in the mirror. I
pretended that nothing changed. That I didn’t cause her pain, and that she
didn’t know the truth. That I didn’t see her sobbing and that she wasn’t even
bawling to begin with. That we were still just best friends, and that she was
my girl and I was her boy.
My Half-Pint and her Bo.
It was better than knowing…
I ruined us.

Childhood friendship as its best

Ahhhh Lucas kills me at the same time amazes me. This bad boy has a heart. Teenage life is so fun and full of troubles. Alex and Lucas is meant for each other. Despite the problems and trials they have been through, their connection for each other is undeniable.

I cried and at the same time mad at Lucas. He is a player but grow up to be a beautiful and responsible man. I really liked him. I hate Cole, he is nothing but trouble. Alex needs to grow up as well and learn experience away from the boys. I am glad that she did and find her own happiness. This book is very sweet, emotional and oh so good.

Author M. Robinson did an amazing job in this young adult story. Complicate Me will ripped your heart apart. I cannot wait to learn more about Lily and Jacob.

FALLING FOR KALLI New Book Release By Muriel Garcia and Mia Lily

I’m tainted.
I’m a manwhore.
I don’t deserve her.
I’m not good enough.
How in hell did I let myself fall in love with her?

During my 23 years I never thought I would find ‘The One’. Between witnessing my mother being used and abused by men for as long as I can remember and my only serious girlfriend cheating on me, it’s fair to say that I’ve become disillusioned when it comes to relationships. I sleep around, I use women for sex, I don’t think twice before taking someone to bed. Well, until I met her. She is the only person who has ever really made me feel something other than numb. But fate was against me, I fucked up and now I’ve lost her…

How in hell did this happen to me?
He’s ruined me for anybody else.
I’m addicted to him.
I need him.
I love him.

I’ve always had trust issues; my family lied to me, my ex lied to me, hell, I’m sure my cat’s even lied to me. I had written off relationships and truly caring for people, until I met him. The closer I got to him, the more I fell for him. Then he lied. He broke my two rules: no cheating and no lying. Now I don’t know if I’ll be able to forgive him…

Born to dysfunctional families, Mason and Kalli had first hand experience of disastrous relationships. But against all odds, they find each other and cannot deny their instant attraction or their feelings.

Will Kalli be able to move past her cardinal rules and learn to forgive or are they both doomed to repeat the mistakes of their ancestors?

Finally have my reading eyeglasses

My husband said that when he turned 40 years old. He needs reading eyeglasses to help him read and see tiny letter. He told me that I will need it soon as I read so many books. Yes I am a bookworm.

Reading is one my hobby since I was in high school. Now that I do book reviews, I read more often. I prefer paperback to read. Sometimes I get to read and review electronic books as well. It is very easy to read electronic books and work for me at night before going to sleep. I also read in the middle of the night when I wake up for few minutes.

My husband thinks that I look 10 years older with my reading eyeglasses

The other day after my son had his dentist appointment, I told my kids that we will stop at Wal-Mart for my reading eyeglasses. I thought that I have to go to the vision center. The woman told me to go to the pharmacy and I can buy my reading eyeglasses from their. I found the reading eyeglasses. There is also some tips on how to buy the perfect reading eyeglasses. I need to start with the lowest grade like 1+ and it goes to 2+50. I also tried many colors from pink, purple and white. The black is what I liked the most. I even bring a book with me to try it on. Wow! I cannot believe it is like magic. The words are really big. The reading eyeglasses does not give me headache. Later did I know that my husband has the same color and style.

How bout you? Do you use reading eyeglasses when you read? How old were you when you start using the reading eyeglasses?
