Midol to the rescue for my menstrual cramps

It is not a good day to start my New Year when you know that your monthly period is coming. I hate that my monthly period came on the New Years Eve. I know that I will experience menstrual cramps which make me miserable. The menstrual cramps are not welcome to start my New Year. I have no choice but to welcome that as part of being a woman.

Midol my rescue to my menstrual cramps

I do not like to take any medication. I will take the pain while I can tolerate it. My husband does drive me nuts when he knows that I am in pain. I am glad that my husband’s daughter has a Midol. She gave me two capsules. She did not use the medication. I am thankful that she has Midol. I took it despite not liking the idea of taking medication.

My husband then drove to the local pharmacy and bought me a box of Midol. I took one capsule few hours ago. It does help the menstrual cramps away. At the same time, the medication makes me dizzy. I fall asleep few minutes after I took the medicine.

How about you? Do you experience menstrual cramps when your monthly period is coming? Do you take any medicines to relive the pain?

  1. I’m so sorry for the painful monthly cramps momi, i’m sure that’s not simple and way too irritable when you have that pain. midol is indeed one great help for a pain reliever, i’m glad that i don’t have that cramps anymore, well not that very bad lately.

  2. Yeah I’m with you sis , as much as possible I rather not want to take medicine to ease the pain, but sometimes its really hard especially when the pain is unbearable. I took one capsule a day for the first day then I’m good on the 2nd day.

  3. I used to take midol when I was very young. But then, after I gave birth, I very seldom have menstrual cramps. But I got migraine once in awhile and for that I used to take Advil. Lately, I’ve been drinking a 21 in one fruit drink called Juice 21 and I don’t get migraines anymore.

  4. Thank God for pain relievers, right? I am glad I don’t have menstrual cramps that are so severe. What I suffer is migraine and “crabbyness” during that monthly cycle. πŸ˜€

  5. I know some of my girl friends went through this kind of pain every month. I should tell them about this. Luckily, in my side, I don’t experience menstrual cramps during my periods. What I have observed whenever I have my period is that I don’t like to move. I’d just like to stay in bed all day long.

My issue is not the cramps, it is the irregularity of my period. There are months it’s there and there are months it’s not there which makes me so worried. My mom keep telling me I got it from here but still, I’m worried. πŸ™

  6. I used to be the designated purchaser when my mother asked me to buy Midol for my youngest sister who at times suffered from the same condition you have had.

Just something to share because it reminds of the time that I had to be nonchalant buying the medicine at any drug store.
